Finding Articles Using E-Resources

Finding E-Resources
  1. To find journal, magazine, or newspaper articles select a database or collection listed under e-resources.

  2. If you already know the bibliographic information (periodical title, volume, date, author, title, etc) use Find It.

  3. If unsure as to which database or collection to search use one of the Recommended Resources as listed in your subject area first. These are your best options for the topic you have chosen. Click the title of the resource you want to use. If you are off-campus see this page for details of connecting off-campus.

  4. Each resource may appear slightly different, although most will present you with a search box to enter terminology related to your topic.

  5. For more help searching a specific e-resource, look for a "Help" link or icon.

  6. Once you have performed a search, review the results. Each listing should provide you with the article title, journal title, author names, and the date when the article was published.  If a full-text (either HTML or PDF) version of the article is available, you will be presented with a link to it. If not, click the "Find It" link to view other options, as well a form for requesting an Inter Library Loan.

  7. Typically you can review more detailed information about an article by clicking on the title.
